How are words counted?
Each group of letters or numbers separated by spaces or punctuation counts as a word. Hyphenated words and contractions count as one.
How is reading time calculated?
By dividing the word count by 200 words per minute for silent reading and 130 for speaking aloud. It is a rough average.
Is my text stored?
No. This tool calculates the result and does not store the text.
